New Moon in Zodiac sign Leo in square with Uranus in Taurus

The astrology of August. It is an interesting month. The energies of August are dominated by the Venus retrograde and the square aspect that the new moon makes with Uranus in Taurus. Sudden upheavals and revelations with this new moon. We also have a Mercury retrograde cycle starting in Virgo on August 22nd. Which means we will have 3 personal and 3 outer planets retrogrades in the sky from the first quarter moon onwards in this cycle. A revisioning time of the relationship we have to ourselves and how that reflects in outer reality. Venus rules the Libra house in your chart as well as the Uranus in Taurus house.

New or Dark Moon phases are times when the sun and moon are happy with each other to create something new. They work together and have the same goals. It is a death-rebirth process comparable to the winter into spring cycle.

Let me first break down the cycle as I see it.

New Moon at 23 degrees Leo conjunct Venus Retrograde. A reviewing of values in the house where you have leo on the cusp. With a new moon, we receive valuable downloads on how to change or adjust the house area in our lives that Uranus is in. Whatever your intentions are with this new moon there will always be significant changes involved that need to be considered. It will become more clear if those changes you want to ignite are feasible and for your best interest at heart.

First quarter Moon on August 24 in the sign of Sagittarius: The sun in Virgo at 1 degree will than be in square with this Sagittarius Moon. Action needs to be taken. Listen to your intuition. Just after this first quarter moon the sun in Virgo will oppose Saturn Retrograde in Pisces showing us which responsibilities we need to revise or not overlook. The limitations we currently have to overcome or just deal with or work around. Things that cannot be avoided.

Waxing Crescent Moon phase in Libra and Scorpio. Especially the 22nd of August we have this manifestation energy. What we will notice is a confused unconscious action, not really directed or in line yet with these new moon intentions. Especially because Venus is retrograde and most actions are still revisions of something that started in the past that will come up for review.

Full Moon at 7 degrees Pisces on August 31th: Usually full moons are a project that comes to completion. Something will come to light. It is a culmination point. Pisces Zodiac energy is around visual images, television and also creative projects. It can concern video making. What is nice about this full moon is that our connection to nature will be felt on a deeper level. Perhaps you will have time to spend it close to the ocean at its best. You might just take on a boot tour days before the full moon. Spirituality is heightened since perceiving other realms will be easier. As it is also a 7 degrees full moon. A spiritual development number in my opinion. We naturally want to retreat with Pisces moon energy. Tarot card images might speak to you more than usual. So it is perfect to meditate more if you can and do some dream journaling.

Last quarter Moon in Gemini: Sun in Virgo square Moon in Gemini.

Be mindful that underlying these moon cycles is traveling the Pluto square to the nodes. It is currently in a reviewing mode of how we lead our lives and how government control affects us. Are you born with a Leo sun than you will probably be your best self at this time and shine your inner light for others to see. The fixed signs are self focussed. Taurus on preservation and being self-reliant, Aquarius the water bearer energy with its futuristic vision not bothered by others and than the Leo with it’s heart expression.
